Plant Information

The growth rates and information about plant needs are what we have found to be true with the plants here in Georgia. Many of these trees are reasonably new to the East coast, especially the Southeast; the longer days and warmer seasons have shown us increased plant growth compared to the West Coast. Georgia has more hours of daylight and a warmer Spring and Summer compared to the Northwest, which we believe cause these differences.

Acer palmatum 'Kotohime'

This tree has one of the smallest leaves of the Japanese maples, which grow dense and close together. Leafing-out red, the foliage evoles into greens and then yellow blended with orange in the fall. This plants is very popular with bonsai specialists.
